And here's a close up of the new pedal. A new pedal is available for about $40-$50. While replacing the whole pedal is faster, I learned that Townsend Imports has a fix that is better than stock. Plus, it's much cheaper!
Hey Dave!
On the clutch Pedal:
Here is the trick......Redrill what you have to 3/8". I use a angle drill and leave the pedal and fork mounted. Remove the old smaller pin and redrill the hole. Go to Napa or local auto parts store and get a cleaves pin that is 1-1/8" long by 3/4". Don't forget to get a cotter pin that slides through the end and secures the cleaves in place. It helps on the install to make the end of the pin a little more pointed on a grinder. It doesn't take much. Don't forget to pack some synthetic grease in the pin hole and readjust the cruise control dump valve. This saves time and money. It will out last the original configuration by a long shot as the pin has more surface area to weather the storm :-)
We don't stock the pedals because of this procedure. We do have the bushings "Teflon" at the top end.
Thanks,
Tom Townsend
